I love this old building. I see it driving out on the 17, going towards Paris, va. Piedmont station is what it n surrounding buildings was called when it was an active site. There is a beautiful creek nearby and railroad tracks. For the U.S., this is older history. for, Europe, just a blink of an eye compared to their history!
I have been looking forward to seeing Lucinda for a long while now. Upon first hearing her hypnotizing croons, almost 20 years ago...i sit at the cozy intimate venue called burchmere in Alexandria.
Eagerly awaiting to hear her voice, her country, bluesy sexy powerful mesmerizing woman voice. You hear her and listen to her words and lyrics. You feel as though you were right there In baton rouge, memphis, slidel or all the various country towns she was immersed in.
Shes sings songs of herself, her history, romance, hardships, rough men. I see myself in her, even the vunerable side of all women who have good hearts. For some reason its nice to know she followed her heart, loves whats she does, and does what she loves!
Lucinda is in a great point in her life has a passion for her poetic poetry from her father, and now great a wonderful man to stand by her side.
All that singing of hardships in her life...are now just a memory....her words live on and still empower me. I feel sappy, romantic, creative

Now that doesnt necessarily mean male and female get along or can even understand or even hear each other. Although in a healthy situation, it should. Through the events and histories and choices, good and bad, I myself have gotten into less than desireable situations with these creatures! I am a happy woman to know I can say No! Lifes to short and drama to high..there is no word for goodbye in the Indian language but thank god there is in the American language.

thank you America for freedom to publish this photo/ self portrait. I will be starting a blog reguarly and would like to say and express (sorry for pun...lol had to milk that for what its worth) whatever is happening or important in my life at the moment. im going to publish a book.
